60$ for a new tablet?

A company from which one could hardly have expected something like this. Amazon offers a tablet for a mere $60. But there is a catch.

Amazon announced the new version of the Fire 7 tablet today. It is already available for pre-order. It will be delivered on June 29. However, it is an updated version of the previous tablet.

Amazon has hardly changed anything about the display and the camera, so it remains the same. The biggest change for the customer will be the longer battery life. It should be possible to surf the Internet for up to ten hours.

The processor has also been changed. This is supposed to be 30% faster so that the whole 'Fire 7' experience feels smoother. The memory will remain at 16 gigabytes, though. However, the tablet will have a USB-C port to charge it. The previous Fire 7 only had a Micro USB 2.0 port.

With the updated version of their tablet, Amazon wants to make it easier to enter the 'Amazon ecosystem' and improve previous experiences. After all, the company appeals to a large group of people with a budget tablet.
