Tesla currently leads the electric mobility industry by far and is worth more than all other automakers combined. This growth is a thorn in the side for some and they would rather support the smaller companies. Which ones would that be?

BYD
Tesla's Chinese competitor is BYD. Like Tesla, the company offers several versions of different cars. The luxury version of the Han EV, with an extended range of 605 kilometers, costs about $34,500 and outperforms the Tesla Model 3, which has a range of 602 kilometers (and costs more to boot). The Han lags behind in acceleration, however, as it takes 7.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.
Lucid Motors
The 'Lucid Air' is no longer in the price range of the Tesla Model 3, but rather the Tesla Model S. Because the Lucid car costs $77,400 and has a range of a whopping 835 kilometers. Moreover, it is also cheaper than the standard Model S - more than $15,000. Likewise, the Air model also has better acceleration. So if you're looking for something in the higher price range, Lucid Motors would be a good alternative. Unfortunately, it is only available for pre-order.
