With the war in Ukraine, commodity prices are rising tremendously, even more so for oil and gas prices. Therefore, Amazon will soon foist more fees on the customer to compensate for the increase in prices and inflation.

Amazon will charge higher prices from April 28, to be exact, 5% more. This is supposed to be due to rising prices and rising oil costs. The 5% turns out rather meager, because the inflation in the last months of the US dollar was just under 10%.
It is even more extreme with the gas prices. These have shot up by almost 50%.
This 5% fee will indirectly affect the customer on Amazon. The increase will mainly affect sellers who sell their products on Amazon's website. This will result in higher prices on the website.
