AMD and the RX 6500 XT

It almost seems as if AMD is speaking against itself. Because in 2020, the company said that 4 GB VRAM would no longer be enough for modern games. Meanwhile, AMD has released its "new" graphics card, the Radeon RX 6500 XT. However, it performs worse than a GPU from 2017. One could think that AMD is regressing. After all, it can't be real that a graphics card appears in the latest series but is worse than one of the older generations. The only good thing about AMD's new graphics card is the price. It's supposed to cost around $200 and it's not expected to go too high, since it's not particularly well made for crypto mining (especially not with 4GB VRAM).

The opinions about this graphics card don't seem to be too far apart. Because first reports have already been made on YouTube, such as Linus Tech Tips, KreativEcke and many more. They all came to the same conclusion: It is not worth it, even if the price is tempting. Because 4GB VRAM is simply too little, as AMD itself has also said. However, it was a good approach from AMD to bring a weaker graphics card to the market, so that you have the chance to get a graphics card at all again.
