The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology says that shipments of smartphones in its own country have fallen 27.2% than the year before. Specifically, that equates to 23.78 million units shipped.
From January to October, shipments fell by 22%, than the previous year. That would be 215 million units that were shipped. The reason for the decline may be the protests in the country, as well as the diversification of production in the world, such as in India and Vietnam.
