The Indian manufacturing industry is experiencing an upswing thanks to the strong promotion of the Make In India initiative. Playing a central role in this growth are CNC machines (Computer Numerical Control), which form the backbone of many manufacturing processes. These computer-controlled machines are used in various sectors including defense, aerospace, mobile phones, agriculture, and others, and are crucial for India's self-sufficiency.

A company that has specialized in the production of CNC machines in India for nearly two decades is Macpower CNC. Founded in 1980 as Modern Machine Tools, the company began manufacturing CNC machines in 2003 under the name Macpower CNC. Today, it is a leader in the industry, producing thousands of CNC machines annually at its facility in Rajkot, Gujarat.

Macpower CNC machines are utilized in a wide range of industries, including aerospace, agriculture, automotive, defense, and railways. The company boasts prestigious clients such as JSW Steel, Mahindra, Suzuki, Sun Pharma, John Deere, as well as government entities like SAIL, NTPC, and Indian Railways.

The company has steadily grown its revenue and profits. In 2023, Macpower CNC achieved a revenue of 201 million rupees and a profit of 12.89 million rupees. With its solid financial foundation and focus on profitable growth, the company has no long-term debts.

While Indian CNC companies have not yet reached the scale of their global counterparts like Haas from the USA or Mazak from Japan, they play a crucial role in the Make In India initiative's growth objectives. The increased focus on manufacturing in India promises a promising future for the industry.
