Today, several websites of German airports could not be accessed, a day after Lufthansa had IT problems. Affected airports are Düsseldorf, Nuremberg and Dortmund. The websites of the larger airports, such as Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin were accessible.

The problem has not yet been fixed. Spiegel Online reports that the websites were victims of DDoS attacks.

DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service)

A DDoS is often triggered by the overload of the data network.

An attack is carried out by sending many requests to the website.
