Intel's next processor is currently in the development phase. But it is already clear that the new motherboards will support DDR4 Ram.

A leaked list of unreleased AsRock motherboards shows that the 13th generation Intel Core series will continue to support DDR4 memory. That's because the list includes motherboards that have a 'D4' in their name, which means DDR4 Ram will continue to be supported.
It also makes sense for Intel to have the new processors support both DDR4, and DDR5 Ram. After all, the next generation will use the LGA1700 socket, just like the Alder Lake processors. Since there are already motherboards that support DDR4 memory and have an LGA1700 socket, this is very smart of Intel.
Intel also has the edge over AMD. Because Intel's competitor relies entirely on DDR5 with its Zen 4 CPUs, which is more cumbersome if you plan to upgrade your PC. Also, DDR4 memory is cheaper than DDR5, or you can install the old DDR4 sticks in the new motherboard. This gives Intel a massive advantage.
