In business, there are often trading partners that are needed to offer a product or service. But what does the chip manufacturer NVIDIA have to do with the EV-manufacturer Lucid Group?

NVIDIA is a company that not only manufactures graphics cards. The company also offers diverse solutions in cloud(-gaming), high performance computing, AI & data science, and self-driving cars. The latter is particularly important for Lucid. That's because the automaker announced on April 11, 2022 that its current and future fleet of cars will run on NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion. DreamDrive Pro will also be included in the car's design to get ongoing updates for the software.
The car will have 14 cameras, one lidar, five radars and 12 ultrasonics installed.
Lucid will launch more models in the future, including a long-range SUV. According to Lucid, the model will be released in 2024.
