Mercedes-Benz and Microsoft are partnering to boost automotive production

Microsoft is making production at Mercedes-Benz more efficient, resilient and sustainable with the help of its MO360 data platform.

Mercedes-Benz will start using Microsoft's data platform to avoid bottlenecks in production. This is especially important for Mercedes-Benz as they will soon be moving to all-electric cars. The software will be used in 30 Mercedes factories worldwide.

Microsoft promises a 20% improvement in efficiency by 2025 with their software. This is because Mercedes' logistics team will be able to see and fix problems faster. Energy, water and CO2 consumption will also be tracked by the automaker.

By 2030, Mercedes wants 70% of its own total energy consumption to be generated by wind and solar power. In addition, 35% water is to be saved by reusing the water in production.
