The first branch of Mercedes Benz with fully electric cars will open in Yokohama. This is a strategic move for the company, which has been building electric vehicles since 2019.

Most of the electric cars in Japan are mainly produced domestically. But now Mercedes wants to make an aggressive move. Already the most popular car company in Japan, the company now wants to shake up the electric vehicle industry.

Mercedes Benz sold a total of 51,200 cars last year in Japan. However, total electric vehicles from abroad were less than 2,500 this year.
