NVIDIA GTC Highlights Summary

For a long time, we speculated about the RTX 4090 on QuickTechnics. Today, everything is officially clarified by NVIDIA.

RacerX

NVIDIA gets in on the action with RacerX, delivering stunning renders made with just a GPU. Perfect for any content creator looking to create a simulation. In the video, two toy cars were shown driving around in a rendered world.

Nothing should be pre-rendered anymore, it should be a simulation. To make this possible, the ADA Lovelace GPUs were presented. A graphics card should also let RacerX run independently.

ADA Lovelace

Shader Execution Reordering (SER) should give the graphics cards 2-3x more performance with RayTracing and 25% more gaming performance. However, the RT cores are too slow to make video games playable, which is why NVIDIA introduced DLSS back then. Now the graphics cards are equipped with DLSS 3. Thus, 101 FPS should be achieved in Cyberpunk with 4K resolution.

DLSS 3 should also relieve CPU-heavy games. You should get up to four times more performance in video games. For example, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, with RTX on and DLSS on, should achieve up to 100 FPS.

ADA is also supposed to be very energy-efficient, because the GPU has been overclocked to over 3 GHz. Thus, you have a lot of computing power but distributed over more than 450 watts. But what we don't understand is how NVIDIA can cool the graphics card with the same shroud as the RTX 3090.

Omniverse

The Omniverse is a platform where you can create 3D models and thus co-create the metaverse. The whole thing is built on USD. Of course, ADA Lovelace is integrated here on a large scale, such as in rendering. For private users, NVIDIA Omniverse is available for free.

Robots are also to be integrated on the Omniverse platform, such as the behavior of them. Also real estates are to be designed in such a way or also department stores are to receive an efficient layout by Omniverse. There is no industry not mentioned that Omniverse could not use. Even train companies and the logistics industry can use Omniverse to determine their rail/logistics planning!

We suggest you still watch the presentation yourself, because there were stunning renders that you can't miss:
