Tencent is building its own version of TikTok and plans to promote it on WeChat.

Tencent wants to compete with TokTok and is building its own short video platform. This is then to be promoted on WeChat, the Chinese WhatsApp, which also belongs to Tencent, through channels and events.
With one billion users, WeChat seems to be a perfect solution to promote the platform. This way, advertisers can also benefit from it.
Tencent sets the bar lower for creators; to advertise, creators only need to have 10 followers. To make money on TikTok, you need at least 10,000 followers.
