Tesla has ambitious goals. Every year, 50% more cars are to be delivered, which is not possible in the long term at this point. That's why it needs a next Gigafactory.

A report has come out that Tesla is lobbying the government in Ontario, Canada. That means Tesla wants to represent its interests in the government and build a "Advanced manufacturing facility".
At an investor meeting a few weeks ago, Elon Musk said they were planning a next factory and many investors shouted "Canada." In response, Musk said, "I'm half Canadian, maybe I should".
Another factory is necessary to distance themselves from China. That's because the U.S. Senate has signed off on a $430 billion bill that would prevent automakers from using Chinese materials. The bill also says that after 2023, no credits can be given if an electric car has Chinese batteries installed.
