Meta generates over 90% of its revenue from advertising. This is bad for the company, because once regulations arrive, the company will not be there. That's why Meta Group is looking for a diversification solution.

Meta already had problems launching a cryptocurrency called Libra (later renamed Diem). However, regulations threw a spanner in the company's works, leading to the cancellation of this project.
Now Mark Zuckerberg wants to try again. The "Zuck Buck" will be a digital currency that, among other things, will support content creators, as TikTok is already doing with its "Creator Coins". This is how Meta wants to make money with it in the future. Likewise, NFTs are coming to Instagram, which is also a source of money.
In the long run, the project can prove a huge success, because if life shifts to the Metaverse, then it can be assumed that it will need a currency, just like Roblox with Robux.
